MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR J.RYALL REEL
The J.Ryall patented drag system contains an oil-impregnated bronze bushing that does not need to be oiled.
Cleaning: Disassemble reel as mush as possible, then wash in multi-purpose cleaner/degreaser or dish soap and water, then rinse thoroughly in water.
Important: Directly after fishing in salt water remove spool and driver (drag knob) and clean thoroughly as mentioned above. This is extremely important, as salt crystals left in the reel will expand, and may cause malfunction or damage.
Right to left hand conversion: This is easily achieved by loosening the counterweight screw and moving the drag spring to the right for left-hand retrieve, left for right-hand retrieve. Then tighten screw.
