Designed around a centered, oil-impregnated bronze bushing, you will find incredible braking power yet impressive smoothness.      The unique patented drag system (US Patent 5,407,144) consists of two delrin brake shoes which expand on the inside of a bronze cylinder, creating a very efficient braking action with minimum start-up inertia.      In addition these reels utilize hard-anodizing which is a plating process that is as hard as heat treated steel, and is proven to be extremely durable even in salt water, making the reels not only incredibly lightweight but extremely tough. The reel is very low-maintenance and easily converted from right to left hand use and they feature a simple key spool release.      There are four models to choose from at the present time. The J.
