After 35 years of machining for the aerospace industry, J. Ryall
Machine Works started manufacturing fly reels in 1991. Being a small company, we just
couldn't make enough of them for the demand. In 1998 we joined forces with a major
California manufacturing company to alleviate this problem and give us some time to develop
and introduce new products to the fly fishing market.
Whether you consider fly fishing a hobby, a sport, or an obsession,
we would like to think that we've developed the ultimate reel for your needs, and our
